Krishnamacharya died at the age of 101 in 1989 having taught outstanding students - Pattabhi Jois, B.K.S. Iyengar, T.K.V. Desikachar. Bringing us new understanding of ancient texts, he made a great influence on today’s yoga. I suggest you to pay attention to non-physical aspects of these videos, try to catch the state of mind, the force of inner fire, the light coming from Teachers.
Krishnamacharya. Watch bandhas and breathwork. Simply amazing..
Why are you doing Yoga?

I see it happening very often: people come for a yoga class (actually, any class) without own motivation acknowledgement. Yes, they want to be healthier, happier, calmer, but when it comes to postures many get distracted and forget own goals.. Not all, but many don’t make any attempts to stop planning their future activities or remembering their past situations; very few practice being here and now, being aware.
We started our class yesterday with a cornerstone of daily practice.
Why are you standing here? What do you want to reach? What is your goal for today’s class?

While I was browsing for free yoga videos I could share with you, I found this inspiring video by Meg (thank-you, Meg!). Wonderful postures and sound, heartening you to lay the yoga mat on the floor and turn your mind completely off, leaving pure perception..
And yet another video I’d like to share is MyYogaOnline Hatha Yoga class. Calming voice, bright setting, light teacher.

Dharma The Cat - philosophy with a smile
for kids, yoga reading May 20th, 2008
My husband showed me this amazing zen comic book about novice Buddhist monk Boddhi and his cat Dharma. Meeting practice difficulties together, they get new lessons in every aspect of the life. Awesome for bedtime reading for kids and kid yoga class.
I had great time reading. Now think of printing it for Yoga Studio Board

Yoga reading: 5 books that work

“There is no mistaking a real book when one meets it. It is like falling in love.”
Christopher Morley
Several ages ago most books were very unique. Publishing a book was hard from the step of writing it to consolidating and actually printing. Our century shows quite the contrary, - writing books got much simpler. On one hand, it brought us great books that would never be published otherwise; and on the other we are offered so much low quality reading everywhere!.. It gets quite serious when we look for a health book, spiritual book or a yoga book. Improper advice may cost us health and money afterwards.
To share a good yoga books advice, I gathered my favorite and those recommended by more experienced yoga teachers. I hope it helps you make a right choice next time when you decide to buy one.
